Fortuna Academy Ch.06 – First Year Start!
Fortuna Island- School Building- 7:30 P.M.
It was a busy day in Fortuna Academy as the whole island had students and teachers going back and forth around the facilities, and the first day of class started. The academy had plenty of new students this year, and one of them had an unusual early start to check the academy.
All the girls in the 1st floor of the Academy building had their eyes drawn to said new academy student with long flowing silver hair, blue eyes and black wings sprouting from his back. Most of them were fawning and swooning over the new student, who seemed slightly annoyed at that. "By whatever god there is...shut the hell up!" Ryuuga screamed inside of his head. He wasn't the kind of person that enjoyed this sort of attention."Stupid Fangirls..."
As he muttered those words he saw Jin walking towards him. "Oh, hey bu-" He then saw Jin's half-dead sleepy face. "Mornin' Jin greeted waving drowsily at his black-winged friend. "The hell happened to you?" Ryuuga said in surprise. Jin let out a yawn as Ryuuga let out that last remark. "I couldn't sleep well enough...I'm still tired from yesterday..." Jin muttered tiredly."I think it took more from me than I expected..."
"Is that so? I assume Yumi had to kick you outta bed again then?" Ryuuga asked. He reminded of the many times Jin fell asleep in class back at Kyoko town, and Yumi taking...rather extreme measures to wake him up. "Nah, she went ahead of me to meet up with Shiori." Jin replied. "Weird...You always wake up at the same time when you sleep at the same room. I figured you two had the same sleeping pace." Ryuuga told him."Yeah but we didn't have our mornin' quickie so..."He was interrupted by a arm wrapping around his neck.
"He doesn't need to know that." Yumi said as she squeezed Jin's neck with her arm. "It doesn't concern him either." Ryuuga added. "Your sex life only concerns you two" Yumi chuckled. The black-haired girl began to look at Ryuuga from top to bottom, noticing something new about her friend. "Hey, your hair is loose today." Yumi pointed out. "It looks nice."
"I couldn't find my hairtie." Ryuuga said with shrug."That being the case, I decided to try this new look out."
"Weren't you with Shiori?" Jin asked . "You seemed really excited about it too"
"She told me to go ahead of her. She wanted to check on Edward." Yumi replied."I see..." Jin said sleeping nuzzling the girl's neck. "So...How you guys feeling about the first day?" Ryuuga asked.. Jin muttered an "Uh..."
"A bit nervous of course..." Yumi replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "Well, don't worry, everything will work out." Ryuuga said walking away. "Come on you two. It won't do any good to be late on the first day." Yumi and Jin walked after him. "He's surprisingly calm..." Yumi whispered to Jin. "Yeah...Well he is pretty coolheaded, after all."
"...*phew*..." They heard coming out from Ryuuga's mouth. The couple smirked. "Oooh, what was that? Is Ryuuga a lil' nervous?" Yumi said teasingly. "S-shut up..." Ryuuga said nervously. Yumi and Jin snickered.
"Morning guys..." Van greeted as he walked towards them groaning in pain. "Oh, Van. Hello!" Yumi replied. "How are your injuries?" She asked. "My body still hurts a bit. But I should be fine after a while. I owe you one for treating my wounds,Suzuki."
"Don't mention it." Yumi replied. Unknown to them, not so far from there, a gun was pointing at Ryuuga's back. The gun fired and Ryuuga sensed the projectile sailing towards him. He swiftly summoned his sword and deflected it. The gun's wielder rushed at Ryuuga and both teens were soon locking blades. "Impressive, you're sharp as always." Hiruma said putting his guns away.
"Is that your way of saying hello, Hiruma?"Ryuuga asked flatly "Mostly,yes." Hiruma said laughing before a hand hit his head. His response was simply a deadpan "Ow."."YOU IDIOT! I TOLD YOU NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN! WHAT IF SOMEONE GOT HURT!?" Alice scolded. "Gosh! Think of the risks before you act!"
"Ok, ok. Sorry." Hiruma replied. "And that's why Alice is the one wearing pants in the relationship." Crow said as he joined the crew. "He loses the fear, but never loses a joke. That's our Crow." Van commented. Crow laughed. "You seem pretty busted. I guess yesterday was pretty rough, huh? I wish I could have joined the fun" Crow told Van. "You were busy with...well...what Van and Hiruma told me yesterday so..." Ryuuga spoke. Crow chuckled. "So...how are you three feeling about the first day here at the academy?" Alice asked Yumi,Ryuuga and Jin. "Nervous..." Yumi replied. "I see. Well it's perfectly normal. But I'm sure you guys will be ok." Alice reassured. "I told them that." Ryuuga added. "Well, I wish you all a nice first day." Alice spoke politely. "Thank you Alice." Yumi said. "Anytime. Now if you excuse me~ Hiruma and I must head to our classroom. Classes willl start soon" Yumi arched an eyebrow at this. "Wait,what? What happened to the welcome speech?" Yumi asked. "It blew. Principal Kyoraku is currently conducting an investigations related to yesterday's incident, so he won't be around today."
"Is that so..." Yumi spoke with a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Unfortunately, Yes. Well, see you later Yumi. I wish a good first day to you" Alice said jolly as she and Hiruma left. "Stay sharp." Hiruma said following Alice. "Thanks~" Ryuuga,Yumi and Jin replied. The Kunian trio, along with Crow and Van, made their way to classroom 1-D. "That's too bad...I was really looking forward to meet Kyoraku in person"Jin complained pouting. "Well, it's understandable. After yesterday, the Academy could be in some serious danger." Yumi added. "And that's why you should be on your guard around he-"Van slipped the classroom door open when...
"VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN~NYAAAAAAA" Echoed through the air as a blue-haired girl with cat ears, wearing the black academy uniform variant and tight-high boots glomped Van to the ground. The wolfboy, still sore, cringed in pain at the glomp's impact and how tight her embrace was.
"You were saying?" Ryuuga joked. "And the glomping feline strikes once again" Crow added snickering. "You're here! I'm so happy to see you! I missed you so much this break~Nyaaaaa" The girl said as she shook Van's body before hugging him tightly. Everyone laughed as they watched the scene. "Um...you shouldn't be sha-" Yumi tried to warn, but Ryuuga cut in. "Too late. He's already dead." Ryuuga pointed out. Miku let go of Van noticing he had just passed out.. She let out a loud meow as she shook Van's body frantically. "Nyaaaaaaaaa~Sorry! I did it again! Sorry!!!!!!"
"That was not nice, Ryuuga." Yumi scolded. Ryuuga simply let out a 'meh'.

"So..." Van said cleaning his throat"...now that I'm up again, let me introduce you guys. This is my girlfriend, Miku Nekonome." Van told Ryuuga, Yumi and Jin. "Those are Yumi,Ryuuga and Jin."
"Nice to meet you all nya~" Miku said happily. She turned her head to Yumi. "You helped him yesterday, right? Thanks~Nya." Miku said glomping Yumi. "Uh...No need to thank me." Yumi said nervously. Miku let her go. Yumi turned her head to Van. "Is she always like this?" Yumi asked Van. "We don't call her "the glomping feline" for nothing." Van said in a matter-of-fact tone. "You just saw that before, didn't you?"
"I see. She's kinda cute. Seems to be really attached to you too~"Yumi pointed out. "Don't I know." Van replied chuckling. "But yeah...she's a great girl. I'm glad to have her around." Van's sore spots began to sting. "Even if I come out in pieces out of her glomps" He added with a chuckle.

The classrooms in Fortuna Academy were quite large. The rooms were set out so that the teacher's desk was the focal point, and the seats were designed in a way that they'd be staggered, ascending in height in a semi-circle formation. The desks held 3 students per desk and were set in 4 rows of 3. Yumi, Ryuuga and Jin secured a desk for themselves that'd be close to the ones where Shiori, Edward, Crow, Van and Miku would be sitting. Van, Crow and Miku sat on the desk behind Yumi, Ryuuga and Jin's while Shiori and Edward sat in front of them. Yumi and Jin were currently telling their newfound friends about yesterday's events. "So you guys fought a sorceress? Awesome!" Crow said amazed. "Looks like Miss Alice was worried for nothing after all." Shiori added. "I'm glad the students aren't in danger anymore."
"T-that's really impressive!" Edward said. "Great job, you guys."
"Thanks,Ed. So...first day at the academy too huh? How are you feeling?" Yumi asked in a joyful tone. "N-nervous..." Edward replied. Shiori hugged him in response. "Oh, don't be like that, Edward~" She said with a beaming smile.
"It's understandable. I´m sure things will go great for you. I mean, you got a girlfriend on the first day. Can´t get better than that." Yumi teased. Edward and Shiori's response was a luminescent blush.
"Oh, I'm just kidding." Yumi explained before laughing at their reaction.
"Seriously. I wish I was there! I can't believe I missed that..."Crow said in a lamenting tone. "Then don't go peeking on the baths anymore." A female voice from behind Crow said coldly. Crow turned his gaze behind him to see a white-haired girl with red eyes wearing the black uniform.
"Or at least, don't get caught." The girl told Crow. "Yeah, yeah, I know. You told me that yesterday when you-" Then Crow felt an omnious aura emanating from the white-haired girl as she gazed menacingly at Crow.
"Not.A.Word.About.Yesterday." He could feel the girl saying through her gaze. Crow whimpered."-caught me." Crow finished abruptly. "Good boy." The girl said in his head again.
"Anyway..." Crow said. "This here's Luna LeBlanc. Our classmate and one heckuva toughie."
"Darn straight!" Luna boasted. "You're Jin and Ryuuga, right? I heard about you two from Mr. Pervert Comedian here." She said tilting her head to Crow. She turned to Yumi. "He also mentioned Jin had a girlfriend. That you?" Luna asked as she sat on the seat to the left of Yumi's. "Yep. Luna,right? Nice to meet ya." Yumi said shaking hands with Luna. "I feel we're gonna get along just fine~" Luna told Yumi."Same here~"Yumi replied. After the introductions, a rather feminine-looking light-brown haired boy with teal eyes, dressed in a butler outfit burst through the classroom door carrying some books in his arms. "Lady Luna!" The boy said rather desperate.
"Calm down, Tenshi. What happened?" Luna spoke in a calm tone. "You forgot your books." Tenshi answered giving Luna some of the books he carried. "Oh, thank you." Luna said picking her books. "Well, since you're here, let me introduce you to our new classmates. Those are Ryuuga,Yumi and Jin." Tenshi bowed and said "It's a pleasure to meet you all. Welcome to the academy." Tenshi noticed Ryuuga was staring at him with a curious look, looking spaced out.
"Um...is there something wrong?" Tenshi asked Ryuuga, who was brought back to his senses by those words. "Um..yes sorry...it's just that..you remind me of someone I know." Ryuuga replied nervously. "Oh, is that so? Who is it?" Tenshi asked. Ryuuga was slightly taken aback by the question. "Are you ok?"
".Yes I am...excuse me for a moment...I need some water..." Ryuuga said as he excused himself from the clasroom. Yumi and Jin looked worriedly at their friend as he left the classroom. "Oh boy..." Yumi sighed. "Um...did I say something wrong?" Yumi started to look at Tenshi from head to toe. "Don't mind Ryuuga. he just has a lot on his mind." Yumi explained.
"Pardon?"
"I mean...You look like a girl he knew." Yumi explained. "Oh...someone he misses?" Tenshi asked once again. Yumi nodded her head. "You could say that." She said in a matter-of-fact tone. "But just give him a few minutes and he'll be better."

After drinkining his water, Ryuuga made his way back to his classroom. He let out a sigh while re rubbed his forehead with his hand "Damnit...that guy...he looks so much like her.." A hand was placed on his back. He turned back to see Yumi and Jin standing there looking at him with concern.
"Oh...hey you guys. Sorry about-." Ryuuga was about to speak but Yumi interrupted. "It's ok. We know how you're feeling. We miss her too..." Yumi cut in. "You probably miss her more than we do...but don't be depressed. Don't let this bring down your mood." Jin added. "And don't get your new friends worried, either." Ryuuga smirked when hearing that. "All right, all right. I can't be moping forever, anyway." Ryuuga said with his usual shrug.
"That's the Ryuuga we know!" Jin said loudly. After the three shared a laugh, the academy bell rang. "This is it guys." Ryuuga told Yumi and Jin as he pat their backs. " Let's make some great memories out of these coming years!"
Yumi and Jin returned the gesture and nodded. "Yes!"

At classroom, most students were sitting down waiting for the teacher so class could start. 4 of them were getting used to the new setting. The class' attention was disrupted when a card of hearts flipped in front of the teacher's desk and Tamashii, dressed in his white attire, emerged from it.
"Soo~ Good to see this class lively as ever. As you already know, and for those who don't, I'm Tamashii Roda, your self-defense instructor and Magic Theory teacher." Tamashii said as the students got on their seats. "I see some new faces here, so why don't you all introduce yourselves?" Tamashii asked. Ryuuga, Yumi, Jin and Edward walked towards the front of the class room. Yumi was the first to speak."I'm Yumi Suzuki. Nice to meet you all."
"I'm...I'm Edward Redbark. I hope we can all g-get along." Edward spoke with noticeable nervousness. "I'm Ryuuga Yoshida." Ryuuga said in his calm, cold tone."Name's Jin Takamura!" Jin voiced loudly. "If there's anyone here wanting to fight me, form a line!" That line earned Jin a snicker from the class, as well as a punch on the head by Ryuuga and Yumi. "Behave yourself." Yumi scolded. "Don't go getting yourself in trouble on the first day." Ryuuga added. "Well...I can't say you don't have the spirit." Roda told Jin laughing nervously. "That said, I hardly advise you to pick fights recklessly" He concluded. Ryuuga sweatdropped. "I think you're telling that to the wrong person, Roda-Sensei." Ryuuga said flatly before the new students took their seats. Edward felt something unusual on his pocket. Searching it, he picked a card out of his pocket with a message on it.

"So, as we all know, magic comes from Mana, which can be found in nearly everything." Tamashii explained. " The mana that flows in the air and the one that flows in our bodies are the same, and while you can use the same kinds of magic, the spell's characteristics vary depending of the type of magic used." As Roda explained the basics of magic art, Ryuuga and Yumi listened to it attentively while Jin slept with his head resting on the desk. The classroom door opened and an intimidating looking elf girl with green-hair and brown eyes, wearing the academy red shirt and black jeans entered the classroom. "Sorry I'm late."
"Oh, Laura. Good to see you. Please sit down." Tamashii replied. The elf girl did as told. "You didn't miss much. As I was saying, we can also infuse mana to weapons to increase their power. For instance," He said pulling a card of clubs from his sleeve and infusing it with mana, throwing it at Jin's head. As the card hit Jin's head, getting stuck there, the blonde teen woke up suddenly with a yelp of pain. "This techinique I just executed, for example, is great for getting certain students' attention back to the class. Takamura, I really'd appreciate if you left the nap for after class."
"Fine, fine..." Jin said lazily amid the class's laughs. "I guess you should have given him that quickie." Ryuuga told Yumi in a deadpan tone while pulling the card out of Jin's head. Yumi became red as a beet with those words. "Shut up..." Yumi reprimanded . Ryuuga chuckled. Someone poked Yumi's arm. The black-haired girl turned her head to see Luna holding a piece of paper in her hand. Yumi picked it up and saw Ryuuga's name scribbled on it. She poked the Half-Ryuujin's shoulder. "Mmm?"
"It's for you." Yumi whispered handing him the paper. Ryuuga arched an eyebrow as he unfolded the paper. It was a note adressed for him.
Yumi told me about you and the childhood friend you said I looked like. I hope you're feeling better and that you two can meet again someday. So cheer up and don't be depressed. I'm sure things will work out for you.
Tenshi.
Ryuuga smirked. "He reminds me of Sora in more ways than one, that guy." The silver-haired teenager thought as he wrote a reply note. He poked Yumi and asked "Pass it back." Yumi did so. Tenshi picked the paper up, unfolded the note and started reading it.
Thanks. And sorry about storming off like that.
Yoshida. Or call me Ryuuga, I don't mind either way.
Tenshi chuckled as he put the note away. "Tenshi, could you get me a pencil sharpener?" Luna requested. "Right away, Lady Luna." The butler Celeste replied as he handed a silver-colored pencil sharpener to his white-haired mistress.

Later still...
"Well, that's it for today, everybody. Remember to train for the practical classes that'll start next week. And Jin, try to get an early night from now on." Tamashii announced. Jin muttered "Ok, ok." lazily as he,Ryuuga and Yumi got up and made their way to the cafeteria. Yumi herself seemed pretty excited about starting her academy days. "Hurry up you two! I don't wanna miss one moment of the first day!" Jin smiled seeing his girlfriend so happy.
"She's really excited isn't she?" Ryuuga asked Jin, observing Yumi's jolly attitude. "Honestly? She's been like this since we got back to the rooms last night." Jin answered yawning. "Is that so?" Ryuuga said rubbing his chin. He watched Jin yawn again. "Damn, man. If you're sleepy, go back to your room." Ryuuga said as they made it outside the School Building and went to the cafeteria. Ryuuga particularly was looking forward to it because he was promised a story about his parents' academy days by Timoteo.
"Nah, I'm cool. And besides, me not being around Yu on her first day would be a real dick move." Jin replied lazily. "I'd be a bad boyfriend if I wasn't around her on a day that is so important to her." Ryuuga smirked. That determination was one of the things that Ryuuga respected about his blonde friend. "Fine, just watch out for the light post." Ryuuga warned.
"Huh? What light pos-" Jin was about to question the warning given when he bumped face-first on said light post.
"That one." Ryuuga answered deadpan as he kept walking. "Ow." Jin muttered rubbing his face. "We shall never speak of this incident again." He muttered as they got closer to the cafeteria."Fine by me." Ryuuga replied. "But that blood flowing from your nose is bound to give it away anyway."
"Ugh...someone that distracted made it to the academy?" A girl's voice asked rudely. Ryuuga and Jin turned to where the voice came from to see Laura walking towards them with an angry expression on her face.
"You won't get far on the academy if you keep slacking off like that." She stated coldly. Jin grunted in a mix embarrassment and annoyance. Ryuuga frowned at the girl's nerve to talk down on his friend like that.
"You got a problem with that? If he made it so far it is because the academy acknowledged his abilities."Ryuuga barked back at the elf girl's statement.
"This has nothing to do with you, dragon-face. So stay out of it." She replied.
"You talk down on my friend and you expect me to stay put? Yeah right." was the silver-haired Ryuujin's answer. "You trying to pick a fight with me, Yoshida!?" Laura asked loudly, her anger rising gradually. "At this point, I might be willing to." Ryuuga replied smirking. "You-" She was going to say more, but a young-looking, red-haired man with brown eyes, glasses, wearing a rather loose T-shirt , black pants and shoes stood between them. It was one of the academy teachers, Kodachi Kimura. "That's enough, Laura." The redhead teacher reprimanded.
"K-Kodachi..!" Laura said with a luminescent blush on her face.
"Laura, you have no right to talk down to your classmates like that. You shouldn't look down on their ability. I've seen first-hand what they can do. Trust me when I say those two made it to the academy on their own merits." Laura's expression changed to one of disgust.So you should apologize to them."
"I'd sooner puke than apologize!How can you say that!?" She said stubbornly. Kodachi adjusted his glasses as he sighed.
"Because those two defeated me and Professor Zack to be admitted in the academy." Kodachi said in a matter-of-fact tone. Laura was taken aback by those news. "W-what...?" She looked at Jin. "This slacker defeated you!?" She asked in a mix of rage and surprise.
"No. I did." Ryuuga answered. Laura's anger bubbled up. She grunted and walked away with a scoof. "This isn't over yet!" Were her last words. "I'm sorry about that. That girl can be a bit hard sometimes."
"Eh, no worries." Jin replied. "Good to see you again, Kimura-sensei" Ryuuga greeted. "I'm glad to see you both made it. How're you enjoying the academy so far?" Kodachi asked both teens. "We're enjoying it very much. Well, I have a bleeding nose and a wound on my head but I can handle it." Jin replied. "That's not enough to bring me down." The blonde teen boasted. "How did that happen?" Kodachi asked slightly concerned. "Well" Ryuuga spoke up. "He got distracted and crashed his face on a light post. That explains the nose. As for the head, he fell asleep during Roda-sensei's class. You do the math."
"Oh....right..." Tamashii said laughing nervously and sweatdropping, remembering how his green-haired colleague deals with such occurrences. "Well, I've held you up for too long. I'll be seeing you in next class. " Kodachi said before vanishing in a poof. "That's an habit among teachers here, isn't it?" Jin asked Ryuuga. Ryuuga shrugged. "Beats me. Anyway, we kept Yumi and the others waiting enough. Let's get going."
"Ballin'" Jin replied as he followed the silver-haired teen.

The cafeteria was filled with students and things were pretty busy. Timoteo , Lyuri and Bertha were quite busy serving all the students. Their service was really something special. They had fixed many drinks and meals the day before in anticipation to the academy year starting again. Seeing how Timoteo was busy, Ryuuga decided to postpone the talk to another day. Timoteo thanked Ryuuga for his patience before he returned to work and Ryuuga made his way to the table his friends were sitting on.
"Hey, I saw that green-haired elf girl talking with ya earlier." Yumi told Jin. "Did something happen?" Yumi asked. "Eh, she just came to bitch at me for slacking off." Jin replied. "She said I wouldn't get that far on the academy if I kept slacking off. I was about to say something back but Ryuuga here stepped up and then one of the teachers appeared." The snap in Yumi's head as she heard that was nearly audible. "Oh, I'm gonna get that bitch for talking like that to you!" Yumi said angrily hastily getting up from her seat. Ryuuga placed his hand on Yumi's shoulder. "Calm down. Picking fights like that won't solve anything." Ryuuga said calmly. Yumi let out a relax sigh and sat down. "And besides, I doubt she'd say those things if she knew Jin better."
"I don't think that's the case, Ryuuga-san." Shiori replied, causing the half-ryuujin to arch and eyebrow, like he usually does when he's curious or feeling odd about something."What do you mean?" Edward asked. Shiori cleared her truth before she started her story.
"You see...I heard this from Kodachi-sensei. Laura's parents died in war when she was little...and she spent most of her life in an orphanage. They say she was born with a natural ability in combat. She's currently acknowledged as one of the top students here combat wise, but she never had any friends, nor was close to any people, at all. The only people she's ever had any attachment to, were the lady that took care of her in the orphanage and Kodachi-sensei, who was the one who got her here." Shiori explained. "So don't be angry at her for being like that. She just went through a lot and doesn't know how to interact with other people."
"I see...so that's how it is, huh..."Yumi muttered. "That's sad..." Jin said with a sad expression. "But I'm sure things will turn out better for her someday." Edward spoke up. "I mean, she at least has someone she's attached to. Some people don't have even that..."
"True." Van added. "Hey, shouldn't Crow be here by now?" He asked after a couple of minutes. "I'LL KILL YOU!" Luna's voice echoed. They looked outside to see Luna chasing a frightened Crow that was repeatedly saying "sorry". "There he is." Ryuuga said flatly.
"I didn't mean to touch your chest! I just tripped!" Crow tried to explain. Chasing them both was Tenshi. "Lady Luna, please, compose yourself!" He pleaded. "Tenshi, be quiet!" She yelled back. "But it was an accident!" Tenshi tried to reason with Luna, but at her state, it was futile. Ryuuga,Van and Yumi watched the scene with amazing poker faces,Edward laughed nervously while Shiori giggled and Jin was laughing in hysterics. "Does that happen often around here?" Ryuuga asked Van hesitantly. Van chuckled. "More than often. Crow ends up being a pervert even when he doesn't want to. He's that unlucky. At least he tries to make amends when he does it unintentionally." Van explained. "Ahh~ That was some good food. I think I'll get seconds." Van said getting up, only to get glomped by the blue-haired Felian with her trademark "Nya~!"
"I assume this happens a lot too?" Ryuuga joked. "That...even more." Van said while Miku rubbed her face against his while she purred. "Can't say I don't enjoy it." That last remark made Miku even happier. "Miku? Everyone's watching..." Van asked tried to gently push Miku off him. Miku began to stare at him with begging eyes. Van sighed. "Can I at least get up?" He asked. "Fair enough~nyan" Miku replied happily as her dog-boyfriend got up and made his way to the food counter with Miku walking alongside him with her arms around him. Yumi and Shiori couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation.
"They look really cute together~" Shiori said beaming. "I agree." Yumi added.
"Hey you guys!" Luna voiced as she, alongside Tenshi and a roughed-up Crow, joined them. "Why is fate so cruel?" Crow lamented in a wailing tone. "How's it going?" Luna asked. "Just great. I'm really enjoying the academy!" Yumi answered. "That seems to be the popular opinion around here." Luna said before turning her head to Ryuuga. "So, feeling better?"
"Oh, yes. Thanks." Ryuuga answered politely. "Hey don't thank me. Tenshi here was the one worried about you for some reason." The said jabbing her thumb at the Brown-haired butler. Tenshi got immediately flustered. "L-lady Luna!" Tenshi said flustered and out loud."What? It's true. If you weren't, why would you pass that note to him in the middle of class, hmmmm?"
"Don't worry about it. Your concern is highly appreciated, Tenshi. Thanks."Ryuuga told the butler Celeste. Tenshi, turning really red by that for some reason, became silent. Everyone in the table shared a laugh at the funny moments that took place. Yumi saw Alice and Hiruma entering the cafeteria, she got up and shouted "Alice-san! Hiruma-kun!", waving at them when they turned to them and joined the table as well. As Alice and Hiruma joined them, Van and Miku returned with more food. "Hello, everyone." Alice spoke. "How is everything going so far?"
"Can't complain." Ryuuga replied."I'm glad to hear it." Alice answered.
"You a new student too?" Hiruma asked Edward. "Um...yes." was the blonde timid boy's reply. "Nice to meet ya. Name's Hiruma. From class 1-C, also the disciplinary committee boss."
"Leader." Alice corrected. "Whatever." Hiruma shrugged. "Speaking of which..." Hiruma said handing 3 sheets of paper to Ryuuga,Yumi and Jin. "Those are the Committee forms. Seeing how the Principal was too busy, I asked one of the people in the staff to get those for me. If you could fill those in and bring it to me later, that'd be great." He explained. "We will." Ryuuga said reassuringly. "Great."
After a few moments, Tenshi decided to bring up another topic. "Our next class is elemental magic, isn't it?" He asked. Yumi checked the schedule on her Student PC. "Elemental Magic, with Kodachi-Sensei." Yumi comfirmed before recognizing the name "Oh yeah, the one responsible for our Academy Entry Exams. He was the redhead one, wasn't he?" Yumi asked Ryuuga."That's him. I even ran into him a couple of moments ago." Ryuuga explained. "Seemed like a great guy."
"He is a really nice teacher~" Shiori added. "He's really supportive of his students. A lot of people here admire him."As Shiori spoke those words, Ryuuga felt a killing intent directed towards him. He looked at the direction he sensed the killing intent coming from and saw Laura glaring daggers at him. Ryuuga glared back. Laura felt a slight chill as she saw Ryuuga's irises getting red for a second. " What...the hell was that. Laura thought. "There's something really odd about that guy..."
The talking between the group went on and on, before the bell rang and the students made their way to class.

Later...
"Well...that's it for today everyone. You are dismissed." Kodachi said as the bell rang. Everyone began to pack up their stuff to return to their dorms. Yumi and Jin got up after packing. "You coming?" Jin asked Ryuuga. "You go ahead. I'll just finish packing up." The Ryuujin told them. "Ok. See you later." Yumi said as she left the classroom with Jin. Ryuuga let out an small smile. He was taken away from his trail of thoughs when he noticed Laura standing over there staring at him with her usual expression.
"What do you want?". After he asked that, Laura pointed her finger at him.
"Ryuuga Yoshida, I challenge you to a match at the academy battle grounds tomorrow after class!"
